Basement Revue: Joseph Boyden

Boyden performs with a little help from his friends A Tribe Called Red and Lido Pimienta

Joseph Boyden is a celebrated author whose many books, including novels Three Day Road, Through Black Spruce and The Orenda, have been read across the country and around the world. Boyden is Irish, Scottish and Anishinaabe and has written in places like Maclean’s about the plight of youth suicide in Aboriginal communities and about violence against Indigenous women and girls.

Boyden teamed up with A Tribe Called Red and musician Lido Pimienta for a compelling performance at the Basement Revue on December 18, 2014. Watch an introduction by Jason Collett and Damian Rogers and the performance above.
