Three party leaders agreed to participate

Are Indigenous issues not getting enough attention in the election?

There’s been a “vague reference” or two during the leaders' debates, according to Karyn Pugliese, APTN’s news and current affairs director, but nothing completely devoted to the issues facing First Nations, Inuit and Métis people in this country.

So, the broadcaster invited party leaders to join them in town halls to discuss things that haven’t really been discussed in the election campaign.

NDP leader Tom Mulcair, Liberal leader Justin Trudeau and the Green Party’s Elizabeth May all agreed to participate.

May’s will take place on Oct. 13, Trudeau’s on Oct. 14, and Mulcair’s on Oct. 15.

According to the Huffington Post, APTN had originally planned to hold a leaders’ debate on Indigenous issues, but the offer was turned down by the governing Conservative Party.

APTN will be collecting questions from across the country. What would you ask Mulcair, Trudeau and May?
