Journalism students find stories on Vancouver area reserves

Duncan McCue is a longtime reporter with the CBC, hailing from the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation. He also teaches a course at the University of British Columbia called “reporting on Indigenous communities.”

For the CBC Radio program The Doc Project, McCue sent 10 of his students - who mostly had never been on a reserve before - to reserves in the Vancouver area.

McCue’s students came back with some incredible stories.

Have a listen to the long radio doc and find out what stories his students could find here.
