NAC panel discussion on art and reconciliation

Joseph Boyden and others discuss the healing powers of art

This month, the National Arts Centre in Ottawa took reconciliation to heart, hosting a number of events and shows inspired by or related to Indigenous issues and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Last week the NAC hosted a panel discussion on art and reconciliation, just before the NAC orchestra’s first performance of I Lost My Talk, based on Rita Joe’s poetry.

The panel features Rachael Maza, a theatre director from Australia, Joseph Boyden and John Estacio, the composer of I Lost My Talk.
