Video: Mohawk Girls creator Terry Deer talks about the show and life in Kahnawake

APTN’s Mohawk Girls tells the story of four young women in Kahnawake trying to find their places in the world, dealing with family pressures, dating and relationships, tradition and intoxicating outside world.

VICE visited Kahnawake and spoke with the show’s creator, Tracey Deer, as well as some of the stars of Mohawk Girls about the show, and about life as young Indigenous women and the struggles they face in the community.
