This BC-based organization supports women who've experienced any form of violence or abuse. Although it's based out west, the organization's crisis line, which provides immediate emotional support 24 hours a day, is open to women anywhere in the country.

WAVAW also runs many programs and services that work to raise awareness and prevent violence and abuse from occurring, with some specific programs for Indigenous women and youth — including an Aboriginal counselling program for women seeking health, wellness and safety, the Sacred Footprints Aboriginal Youth Group and a missing and murderd Abroriginal women family counsellings program

If you or anyone you know is in need of their WAVAW line, call 604-255-6344 or toll free at 1-877-392-7583.

Visit the organization's website here.
