#ReadTheTRCReport

The outcomes report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission is powerful to say the least. But it’s also long…like super long, and full of very important information that all Canadians should know and understand (really the world should, but hey, let’s start small).

The #ReadTheTRCReport movement started by young Aboriginal Canadians who wanted to help make the report more accessible. It also reflects the traditional values we place on oral history. They’ve begun to record themselves reading the report out loud on YouTube videos and included the hashtag #ReadTheTRCReport to help link them altogether.

If you want to join them, then just record yourself reading the report and post on YouTube with the hashtag and the page numbers you are reading and be part of making this report as public and accessible as possible.
